We Can't Wait to Meet You!

When You Arrive

We understand showing up at a new place for the first time can be super intimidating. We want to make sure your experience at First Baptist is a good one!

We're pretty relaxed around here, so please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.

Make sure to use the south entrance on Magnolia St. or the east entrance by the alleyway. If you need handicap accessibility, an elevator is available inside the east entrance.

Joining Us With Kids?

The nursery is available for children 6 weeks old through 3 years old. It's located inside the east entrance.

Lil' Church is available during the service for children 3 years old through 2nd grade. They'll be dismissed shortly after the songs and they'll rejoin their families after the sermon.

Worship Through Music

We love to sing together as a church family! We worship by singing all types of songs with a focus on modern worship songs and hymns on guitar. We have a full band leading us most Sundays with instruments ranging from drums, guitars and piano.

Typically, we sing four songs at the beginning of the service and two more at the end.

Bible Teaching

Every Sunday, you will hear a scripture driven sermon taught directly from God’s word. We spend most of our time teaching verse by verse through books of the Bible.

No Bible? No problem!

Hardback Bibles are located in the racks under the chairs in the sanctuary. If you don't have a Bible, that is our gift to you!

A typical sermon lasts between 40-50 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What should I wear?
A: We are a casual church. Lots of people come in jeans, but some people dress up a bit. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.

Q: What time should I arrive and how long is the service?

A: Our worship service is normally 90 minutes long, beginning at 10:00am and ending around 11:30am. Feel free to come 10 minutes early.

Q: Where do I park?

A: Guest parking is available on Magnolia street, just south of the church or feel free to park in the gravel lot to the east.

Q: What is the congregation like?
A: We have a wonderful community of friendly and welcoming people. We’re doing the best we can to follow Jesus, but we recognize that no one is perfect and we're all still in need of God's grace. We have people from all age groups, including lots of young families.

Q: What denomination is the church?
A: First Baptist is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention. Like most Southern Baptist churches, we are an autonomous church. The church is led by a group of elders selected by the congregation.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: We teach directly from the Bible each week, so we encourage you to bring one if you have one. If not, no problem—Bibles are available in the racks under the chairs in the sanctuary, and we’d love for that Bible to be our gift to you.

Q: How many people attend on a Sunday morning?
A: Attendance can vary depending on multiple factors but a typical Sunday is around 180. We have a lot of young families so you'll see lots of kids too!

Q: Will I have to introduce myself or stand up?
A: Nope. Just come in, find a seat and enjoy the service.

Q: Do you have coffee?

A: Coffee is available in the overflow area next to the sanctuary along with cream and sugar. Please help yourself!

Q: What Bible translation do you use?

A: We typically use the ESV translation.
