Salvation
Salvation is the first step in being a part of not only our family here at First Baptist, but it is also the first step in being part of God's family. Jesus tells us in the Gospel of John chapter three that no one will enter the kingdom of heaven unless they are born again. If you do not know what this means then please follow this link: Salvation.
Baptism
After a person has repented and trusted in Jesus Christ as their savior, the Bible teaches us that we need to follow all that He has commanded us to do and the next step of obedience is to be baptized. We believe and teach here at First Baptist that baptism is for believers only and that it is by being full immersed in water. Church Membership
Membership to a local church is not the same as a membership to a local gym. Church membership is committing yourself to a group of people and coming under the authority of the local church. To say that you love Jesus, but that you don't love His bride (the church) would be a completely contradictory.
